Breastcanceristheleadingcauseofdeathforwomeninmanycountries.PatientswithbreasttumorsoverexpressingHER2/neuhavedecreasedoverallsurvival,ByusinganewlydevelopedmultifunctionalnanoparticleP(MDS-co-CES)toco-deliverchemotherapeuticagentsandHerceptinforachievingtargeteddeliveryofdrugstoHER2/neu-overexpressinghumanbreastcancercells.Theresultsshowedthatthedrug-loadednanoparticlewithHerceptinhadsignificantlyhighercytotoxicityinHER2-overexpressingbreastcancercells.Thisco-deliverysystemmayhaveimportantclinicalimplicationsagainstHER2-overexpressingbreastcancers.
