Anovelpolyimide(PIor3)waspolymerizedfrom4,4’-(cyclohexane-1,4-diylbis(oxy))bis(3-(trifluoromethyl)aniline)(1),with4,4′-oxydiphthalicdianhydride(ODPAor2)usingthetypicalone-stepmethod.TheinherentviscosityofthePI3was0.63dL/ginDMAcsolutionat30℃,anditshowedgoodsolubilityinmanycommonsolventssuchasNMP,DMAc,andchloroform.TheobtainedPI3filmexhibitedhighopticaltransparencyandcolorlesswithcut-offwavelengthin332nm.Meanwhile,thetemperatureof10%weightlossinairandnitrogenwere441℃and449℃respectively,andtheglass-transitiontemperature(Tg)was348℃.Furthermore,thePI3possessedlowdielectricconstantsof2.49at1MHzandgoodmechanicalpropertieswithtensilestrengthsof54.2MPa,elongationsatbreakof17.2%.
