      ThebinaryNano-CaCO3/polypropylene(PP),poly(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET)fibers/PPandternarynano-CaCO3/PETfibers/polypropylenecompositeswerepreparedbymeltblendingmethod,andtheirstructureandmechanicalpropertieswereinvestigated.Theresultsshowthattheternarynano-CaCO3/PETfibers/PPcompositesdisplaysignificantlyenhancedmechanicalpropertiescomparedwiththebinarycomposites,andneatPP.TheX-raydiffraction,dynamicmechanicalanalysis,scanningelectronmicroscopyandanalysisofthenon-isothermalcrystallizationkineticswereusedtoinvestigatethereinforcementmechanismofcomposites.Theresultsindicatethatthemechanicalpropertyenhancementintheternarysystemmaybemainlyoriginatedfromtheformationofβ-formcrystallitesofPPinducedbythesynergisticeffectbetweenPETfibersandnano-CaCO3.
