Ammoniumpolyphosphate(APP)/montmorillonite(MMT)nanocomposites(n-AM)inpolypropylene(PP)werestudiedbyusingoxygenindextest,UL-94flametest,mechanicaltest,andthermogravimetricanalysis(TGA).Then-AMcouldenhancetheflameretardancyofPPcomparedwiththepureAPPandthesimplemixtureofAPPandMMT(m-AM).Sevenkindsofsamplesforthewaterageingexperimentsweretested.ForthePP/n-AMplaques,inwater,theAPPmigratedfasttowaterintheinitial,andthemigrationprocessdidnotfittotheFickssecondlawofdiffusion.ForthePP/APP-ⅡandPP/m-AMsamples,themigrationrateoftheAPPwasslow,andtheprocessfittedtotheFickssecondlawofdiffusion.
